Fuel Savings

In this time of high gas costs, you do not have to spend hugh sums of money by buying a new hybrid car in order to save fuel costs. Maintain your current car and save fuel by doing the following:
1. Change your oil at the intervals recommended for your type of driving. If you make short trips around town, the standard 3,000 mile intervals. Use Amsoil full synthetic oil and the drain interval increases to 7,500 miles. In addition, your miles per gallon increases by approximately 5%.

2. Change your air filter every 12,000 to 15,000 miles. A dirty air filter can hurt your full economy by as much as 10%.

3. Change your fuel filter every 30,000 miles.

4. Use a good fuel system cleaner in your gas tank every oil change. Make sure you have a full tank of gas in order to get the full benefit of the additive. The Amsoil P.I. is the best that I am aware of

5. If your car has as much as 100,000 miles on it and you have'nt had a tune-up, You should get new spark plugs and wires installed in your car or truck.

6. Underinflated tires can cost you one to two miles per gallon.

7. A bad oxygen sensor can cost you up to 3 miles per gallon.
